Who We Are

About The Club

We are a charity (reg Number SC055162) all monies raised go towards the welfare of our veterans and families

  • The Club was established in March 2024.

  • The Club meets the 3rd Friday of every month

  • The aim of the club is to combat isolation and loneliness in the veterans community and provide essential support and friendship.

  • The benefits are full signposting to veterans services and welfare all under one roof

  • Assistance is given through SSAFA case workers and other relevant organisations

  • Long term goals are to roll this club idea into more areas of Scotland with a high population of veterans service personnel and their families

  • Funded purely by member contributions to raffles at the moment

Currently, the club has now over 150 members – all military veterans, with 6 volunteers and it’s growing weekly.

Activities are planned – trips out for the day – sight seeing cinema arts and crafts and much more (funding dependant)

Cost is £5 per head which will cover tea, coffee and a bite to eat. If members are struggling the club will cover this cost.

  • Agenda is to get Veterans socialising within a safe environment.

  • Format is face to face involvement with other Veterans to share dits and to assist with friendships and help if needed

  • The events may be held in different locations to showcase other local businesses.

  • Assistance with Veterans day to day welfare.

  • What can you expect?

A warm welcome, friendship, events and talks, laughter and fun. A raffle and selected day trips.
